The Multicyclone is a prefilter that is capable of filtering out up to 80% of the incoming sediment from a pond.

The unit is best installed before a bead,sand or cartridge filter.

It can however be installed on any system after the pump.

Waterco MultiCyclone Filter

MultiCyclone is a pre-filtration device that is capable of saving water and reducing filter maintenance.

The MultiCyclone works on the basis of centrifugal water filtration. There are no moving parts to wear and tear, and no filter media to clean or replace.

Centrifugal filtration

1. Incoming water enters 16 hydro cyclones tangentially, generating a strong centrifugal effect.

2. The sediment is spun out to the hydro cyclone’s wall, and then spirals down to the sediment bowl.

3. The filtered water migrates towards the center of the hydro cyclone where the flow reverses and spirals upwards through the outlet.

4. Accumulation of sediment can be visibly monitored through the MultiCyclone’s clear sediment bowl.

5. The MultiCyclone is easily cleaned by opening the valve. Only 15 litres of water is discharged to cleanse the MultiCyclone.

PRESSURE FILTERS- Hozelock Bioforce 3000 uvc ( 5 watt uvc )

The Bioforce range of pressurised pond filters are fed by a pump situated in the pond. Being pressurised they can be hidden behind a rockery and discharge water upwards from the filter to the top of the waterfall (no more than 1m - 3ft). In addition to this the filter outlet is near the top which enables the bulk of the filter to be buried in the ground. Combining the Ultra Violet inside the filter gives the smallest most efficient filter on the market. However, the compactness of the filter means that they are not particularly suitable for fish that produce a lot of waste, such as Koi.Ideal for gold fish ponds.

PRESSURE FILTERS - Hozelock Saturn Booster Pre-Filter

Unique Auto-Cleaning Technology
Dirty water from the pond is pumped into the Saturn Booster and spun around a polyester gauze filter. Large particles are trapped by the gauze filter as water passes through it. A rotating jet spray, located inside the Saturn Booster, constantly cleans the gauze from the inside. The particles, washed off the gauze by the rotating jet collect at the bottom of the unit. Saturn filtration ensures no more wet and dirty hands when removing the waste, simply pull the ergonomic flush-away handle without getting wet or dirty hands.

The Saturn Filtration Boosters have undergone rigorous testing both at Hozelock's R&D facilities in the UK and on a variety of ponds throughout the world over the last two years. The Saturn Filtration Booster will deliver a major reduction in the cleaning of almost any pond filter.

Boosting Water Purity
The introduction of the unique Saturn Booster allows the existing filter to operate as a far more effective biological filter, which 'boosts' the removal of harmful soluble pollutants. This improved water purity 'boosts' the health and activity of the fish and also allows more fish to be safely introduced to the pond. Toxic waste is continuously removed from the pond and stored away from the flow of the water to avoid further water contamination.

Significantly Reducing Maintenance
The sludge collects at the base of the product and is easily removed by raising the 'flush-away' handle without getting wet or dirty hands. Being pressurised by the pond pump, the sludge can be pumped uphill to a drain. The inclusion of the self-cleaning Saturn Booster will significantly reduce the maintenance of the existing filter. The Saturn Booster can be partially buried and sited next to the pond and be used in conjunction with nearly all pump fed filter systems.
